Naarm (Melbourne) based designer Tyra Paydon has always loved shiny, beautiful things. It began when her little hands cupped around a crystal she bought from Camberwell Market with her fifth birthday money. Her adoration for gemstones endured and in 2017 – after a brief stint in floristry – she turned her hand to jewellery. She completed her jewellery studies in 2018 and started her own practice soon after.
 
Her designs are timeless and playful in equal measure, created to be passed between generations. She pools inspiration from fashion, vintage objects and her mum’s colourful jewellery collection.

Tyra crafts each piece as a would-be heirloom. Her work is an ode to the feminine: the fun, flirty, powerful beauty of it. These are adornments for celebrating everyday moments, from coffee dates to club nights or something even more special.
